Treasurer: SV2 (Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence)
Guiding Derbyshire’s Leading Charity for Sexual Violence Survivors.
SV2 is a registered charity (No. 1103009) dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual abuse. We are seeking a committed individual to join our Board of Trustees as a Treasurer to provide strategic leadership and ensure the charity continues to deliver its vital mission with integrity and impact.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a strategic thinkers with strong analytical skills and the ability to offer constructive challenge with expertise in Finance & Accountancy (to serve as Charity Treasurer), qualification by experience is allowable.
What You Will Do:
As a Trustee, you hold ultimate legal responsibility for SV2’s governance. You will work alongside fellow Board members to:
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Safeguard the charity’s assets and ensure we comply with charity law, our governing document, and other relevant legislation.
• Set Strategic Direction: Guide the delivery of our strategy, making informed decisions that ensure the charity carries out its purpose for the public benefit.
• Provide Financial Oversight: Act as a prudent steward of the charity’s resources, ensuring financial stability and effective risk management.
• Uphold Values: Act as an ambassador for SV2, role-modelling our core values: Inform, Support, Protect, and Empower.

Administrator
We're looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Administrator to join our friendly, professional and passionate team to provide high quality administrative duties to the SV2 team, across all services and ensure the proper flow of office procedures.
The successful candidate will maintain a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors, clients, and stakeholders in person, online, and via telephone. You will be responsible for answering the phone line, taking of referrals and signposting ensuring appropriate notes are made on the Organisation’s secure database.
You might be the right person for the role if you have:
• A minimum of two years’ experience of undertaking administrative duties
• Experience in delivering services in a confidential environment
• Responding to queries and problem solving
• Able to communicate in a concise and professional manner with a range of people at various levels, both internal and external to the organisation
• Ability to demonstrate a methodical, organised and flexible approach to work
• Competent multi-tasking skills

SV2 Volunteer (Promotional Events/Raising Awareness Only)
SV2 has been supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse since 1994, and today provides a range of services to anyone in Derbyshire and Derby City who has experienced sexual abuse, assault or violence, including their friends and family members. We support people irrespective of age, gender or when the abuse occurred.
We are looking to recruit a team of events volunteers to help raise awareness of SV2 services at external events, celebrations and various festivals across Derbyshire.
Requirements: You must be over the age of 18 along with having great communication and interpersonal skills. You must be flexible and willing to volunteer at various locations including outside events on a rota basis with the expectation of approximately 1-2 events per month (travel expenses will be covered).
You must be enthusiastic about raising awareness of sexual abuse. You will also need access to a car with business insurance which can be used to transport marketing material such as banners and leaflets to events for this role.
If you think you have the right skills and experience, then we are keen to hear from you.
Responsibilities: You will be working with a small team of volunteers to provide a visible presence in order to promote SV2 services and raise aware of sexual abuse at various events within the county. At the start and end of the event you will be expected to set up and pack away SV2 promotion materials and banners.
You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people. You will need to be non-judgemental and stay calm in sometimes challenging situations.
